Menka Soni is a recognized community leader, nonprofit founder, small business advocate, and international event producer dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities. She brings over 22 years of corporate experience with industry leaders like Microsoft, T-Mobile, Starbucks, and General Motors, combined with more than a decade of community services, civic and nonprofit leadership across Washington State.

Menka currently serves as:

• Elected official as King County Precinct Committee Officer Red 45- 3584 Democratic
• Vice President of One Redmond Foundation (14 years), Redmond’s Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Partner
• Redmond Arts & Culture Commissioner (second term), appointed by the Mayor of Redmond
• Renton’s Lodging & Tourism Board Member (9 years), advancing economic and cultural growth
• Renton’s Mayor-Appointed Inclusion Task Force (10 years), promoting equity and community voice
• South King Housing & Homelessness Partners (SKHHP) advisory board member (4 years) , supporting regional housing solutions

As Founder and President of AmPowering, a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting homelessness, food insecurity, and social isolation, Menka leads programs that serve 2,500+ meals weekly to low-income and homeless neighbors. AmPowering supports communities across the USA, Canada, and India, focusing on education, women’s empowerment, and community transformation.

Menka also leads Sonasme Productions, a social impact-driven media and event production company, producing North America Fashion Week, Global Women Festival, and numerous cultural events that celebrate diversity and empower local communities. She is known for organizing some of Washington’s largest multicultural festivals, including the Color Festival, attended by 15,000+ people from all backgrounds.
